The Robert C. Byrd Clinic, located on the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine campus, is actively seeking a full-time primary care physician (DO/MD) to join our well-established and growing rural practice.

Position Description:

  • Collaborate within a collegial group of over 30 active medical professionals, offering a comprehensive range of primary care services for all age groups.
  • Full-time, outpatient-only position with optional hospital privileges.
  • Clinic operates Monday through Friday.
  • Call coverage involves one full week rotation approximately every 6-8 weeks (low volume, mainly consultative phone calls).
  • Utilizes Athena EHR
  • Accredited by the NCQA as a Patient-Centered Medical Home - Level 3.

Candidates must be:

  • Residency trained, BE/BC, and licensed to practice medicine in West Virginia.
  • Passionate about delivering outstanding patient care to a diverse patient population and open to embracing life in a smaller community.
  • Experienced on an Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform.
  • Committed to timely completion of all patient records.
  • Willing to serve on committees in a physician-driven environment.

We are located on the campus of the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine (WVSOM). As a comprehensive not-for-profit health care organization, we are committed to providing quality primary health care to the residents of the greater Greenbrier Valley and surrounding areas. In addition to serving the local communities, RCBC serves as a primary clinical training site for WVSOM students, interns, and residents. We offer a wide range of primary care services, including medical acupuncture, diabetic education, acute care, family medicine, psychology, internal medicine, osteopathic manipulative medicine, pediatric medicine, proctology, mental health, and radiology.
