General Description

We are offering an opportunity for an Accounting Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will perform various accounting functions including day to day accounts receivable cash postings, collections, supplier invoice processing and customer invoicing.  

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of accounts receivable, and the ability to assist customers with invoicing questions, as well as communicate effectively with suppliers to resolve discrepancies.   Strong knowledge of computer applications including MS Word, Excel and ERP and CRM systems is required. In addition, the candidate should demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Specific Responsibilities

• Basic understanding of General Ledger 
• Ability to enter customer payments timely and accurately  
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve payment discrepancies
• Good communication skills to interact with Customers and Suppliers to resolve discrepancies, answer questions, and collect past due account balances   
• Ability to enter supplier invoices 
• Skill to interact professionally with other associates on the accounting team, as well as customer experience team, sales, and management. 
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Great attention to detail
• Awareness of software program relationships and the ability to work quickly between multiple programs.
• Actively participate with team members to achieve team and company goals.
• Other duties as required.

Required Education and Experience

• US Citizen
• Fluent in English
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• 4 years accounting experience
• Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred
• High computer application literacy (including Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn internal business systems). IFS experience preferred.
