Robert Half is searching for a Staff Accountant. The responsibilities of a Staff Accountant entail preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. Many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be your reponsibility. In addition, you'll be in communication with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, participating in compliance, and reviewing schedules for the reporting processes. This role also involves the production of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. How you will make an impact
- Be responsible for analysis of income statements and balance sheets and communicate findings to management
- Maintain fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
- Conduct month end close, journal entries, without supervision
- Offer descriptions of a large number of financial data and communicate insights in a useful and understandable manner
- Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
- Partake in annual closing processes
- Be a part of various department-wide initiatives
- Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
- Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules
- Maintain intricate journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
