What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payment Dispute Specialist position at ROBINS FINANCIAL CREDIT UNION?
What You'll Do:
- Research and resolve any member disputes related to ACH transactions in accordance with applicable regulations and timeframes.
- Research and resolve any member disputes related to ATM transactions in accordance with applicable regulations and timeframes.
- Research and resolve any member disputes related to Check transactions in accordance with applicable regulations and timeframes.
- Respond to member inquiries in a timely manner and maintain communication (by phone and in written correspondence) throughout the dispute process.
- Communicate with other financial institutions to resolve issues related to disputes, investigate and track payments that have not been received or were sent incorrectly.
- Develop and maintain current knowledge of National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA) rules and other applicable regulations to ensure compliance.
- Reconcile subsidiary account balances with corresponding general ledger accounts daily, promptly identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in dispute operations and recommend changes as needed.
- Prepare and provide necessary information for audits as needed.
- Complies with all applicable policies, procedures, laws and regulations including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act.
- Deliver high level of quality service (both internally & externally), including timely & professional response to Member Service areas.
