What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Painter position at Rochester Collision Center?
Rochester Collision Center, part of Rochester Motor Cars Family, is currently looking for a full-time Automotive Painter for our fast-paced Collision Center. The ideal candidate should be able to multi-task and have the willingness to learn and adapt. This is an excellent opportunity to learn the Collision Repair world. This is an entry-level position.
Day to Day Duties
- Buffing any imperfections out of the freshly painted panels to ensure the best-looking product for our guest
- Prepping and masking vehicles to get it ready for the paint booth
- Keeping the Paint Department and Buffing area Clean
- Unloading and Loading the paint booths
- Priming repair area after body repairs are complete
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required (technical degree preferred)
- Experience Needed
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to learn new technology and procedures
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Attention to detail
- Valid state driver’s license & ability to be insured through RMC liability insurance required
Tool Requirements
- Dual-Action Sander
Physical Demands
- Be able to lift 50lb by yourself and team lift 100lbs
- Operate hand tools and machinery
- Working in a loud environment “safety gear is provided”
