Detailed Job Description
The Cary Graphic Arts Collection at Rochester Institute of Technology seeks a Project Archivist to arrange, describe, and create finding aids for archives related to two important 20th-century technologies in the history of the book: phototypesetting and desktop publishing. This grant-funded position is full-time for a period of three months. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.

Department/College Description
Required Minimum Qualifications
- MLS from an ALA-accredited program or SAA certification.
- A minimum of one year of previous experience processing and describing archival collections.
- Experience using ArchivesSpace or other archival data management systems.
- Knowledge of archival description practices and standards, including DACS, EAD, and MARC.
- Experience with safely handling rare materials.
