Status: Part Time (3 shifts – every other weekend)
Shift: Evening (during week 4:00pm-11:00pm – weekends 3:00pm – 11:00pm)
Pay range: $15.50 -$16.50/hour - $500 retention bonus available.
Location: 256 Thurston Road, Rochester, NY
Rochester Presbyterian Home is looking for a motivated and outgoing professional to join our reception team. Candidates must be familiar with receptionist duties, have strong customer service skills and enjoy working with Elders. This position is responsible for directing all phone calls, assisting site leaders and team members with daily needs in various capacities. Experience working with seniors, persons with dementia is preferred.
Essential Job Functions:
- Represent RPH in a pleasant, enthusiastic manner which exhibits professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Receive and direct visitors and customers.
- Receive, direct and/or take accurate messages for all incoming telephone calls.
- Ensure front desk and lobby areas are neat and clean. Report any maintenance needs.
- Follow all established safety procedures.
- Report all unsafe/hazardous conditions immediately.
- Participate in the implementation of Resident activities as directed.
- Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information to ensure Resident Rights are protected.

Working Conditions:
- Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently.
- Subject to frequent interruptions.
- Some lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Interaction with elders experiencing memory loss.
Employment requirements:
- Satisfactory report from NYS Department of Health Criminal History Record Check.
- Proof of Measles, Mumps and Rubella childhood vaccinations or adult titer showing immunity.
- 18 years of age.
The Rochester Presbyterian Home in Rochester, NY has been serving Elders for over 90 years. RPH also manages RPH-East Memory Care Residences at Creekstone in Fairport, NY and RPH West Memory Care Residences at Cottage Grove in North Chili, NY.
