SUMMARY
The Associate Director of Annual Giving is responsible for the direct marketing plans for hospitals and service lines across RRH, including copywriting and managing data for solicitations. They create appeals and other communications to engage donors, grateful patients, and community members in giving to Rochester Regional Health. The Associate Director is part of an annual giving team responsible for raising current use dollars for RRH priorities, growing the donor base, and creating a pipeline of donors for major and planned gifts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- In partnership with the Director of Annual Giving, manage a comprehensive annual giving strategy for RRH hospitals, major service lines, and community health programs.
- Write copy for solicitations to retain, reactivate, and acquire donors across many segments.
- Serve as project manager when working with external vendors to execute mailings.
- Use Raiser’s Edge and a database of grateful patients for audience selection, segmentation, reporting, and analysis, in partnership with the Data Management team.
- Measure, monitor, analyze, and report on the results of appeals and overall program outcomes.
- Coordinate plans to improve donor retention rates, including a thank you calling program, anniversary communications, a consecutive giving society, and stewardship outreach in collaboration with the Donor Engagement team.
- Plan and execute mini-campaigns to reach new audiences – these may include direct mail, email, social media, digital advertising, online platforms, and other forms of outreach.
- Explore new techniques, tools, emerging technologies, and other trends in annual giving.
- On behalf of the RRH Foundation, ensure adherence to HIPAA.
- As a member of the Foundations team, provide support for events and other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Three (3) years of experience in annual giving programs or fundraising communications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Experience in health care fundraising is a plus.
- Strong writing (with a preference for experience writing solicitations), editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and database management (Raiser's Edge preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Highly analytical, data driven, and attentive to detail.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
PAY RANGE: $60,500.00 - $80,000.00
