JOB DESCRIPTION: Maintenance Technician
Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall maintenance of the Rock
Creek Woods Apartment complex and grounds, both interior and exterior. The Maintenance Technician should be equipped with and furnish
themselves with small hand tools.
Maintenance Technician works under the direction of and reports directly to the
Property Manager.
Major Functions Of This Job Include:
Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Completion of make-ready process for vacated units as directed by

Supervisor

• Completion of all resident service requests as assigned
• Maintain inventory control
• Complete Preventive Maintenance Program as directed by Supervisor
• Coordinate special projects as directed
• Responsible for 24 hour emergency on call as scheduled
• Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned
• Complete grounds work as directed
• Responsible for alerting Supervisor of any unusual occurrence and/ or

damage that may have taken place or has occurred

• Maintain a professional and courteous manner with all fellow employees,

residents, contractors and vendors

• Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, state

and federal guidelines.Hours of Employment

• 40 hours per week plus any necessary overtime approved by Supervisor
• Start and end time to be determined and approved by Supervisor and

Property Manager

• Required to be available on premises for extended hours during emergency

or other unusual situations

• Required to be available on premises for scheduled on-call duty.

Requirements

• High school diploma or an equivalent
• HVAC Certification Type I and II or Universal
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC systems, plumbing,

carpentry and any relevant OSHA laws or Montgomery County codes

• Team player and ability to work well with others
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to communicate in English. Proficiency in Spanish is a significant

advantage

• Must have valid Drivers License
• Capacity to demonstrate a team first attitude and exceptional customer

service ability

• Attitude of Ownership toward your duties and to the property

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
