As a maintenance crew leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the daily operations of a crew of maintenance technicians. You will ensure that the crew performs high-quality work according to the specifications and standards of the company and the clients. You will also ensure that the crew follows safety procedures and uses proper equipment and tools.
Some of the duties and responsibilities of a landscaping maintenance crew leader are:

Plan, organize, and supervise the work of the crew, including assigning tasks, setting priorities, and monitoring progress.

Train, coach, and motivate the crew members, providing feedback and letting managers know for the annual performance evaluations.

Communicate effectively with the clients, the management, and the crew, ensuring that the expectations and requirements are met and any issues are resolved.

Perform various landscaping tasks, such as mowing, trimming, pruning, weeding, planting, mulching, and more.

Operate and maintain various landscaping equipment and vehicles, such as mowers, blowers, trimmers, edgers, sprayers, and trailers.

Ensure that the work site is clean and tidy, and that the waste materials are disposed of properly.

Report any problems, damages, or accidents to the management, and document the work done and the materials used.
To be qualified for this position, you need to have:

At least two years of experience in landscaping maintenance, preferably in a leadership role.

A valid drivers license and a clean driving record.

A high school diploma or equivalent.

A certification or license in landscaping, horticulture, or related field is a plus.

Knowledge of landscaping principles, practices, and techniques, as well as plant identification and care.
