Job Description
The Technical Account Manager is responsible for building and maintaining a strong relationship between Rocket IT and our clients. This is accomplished by regular communication and consistent in-person meetings to develop an understanding of their business needs and then translate those needs into Rocket IT products and solutions. The Technical Account Manager will report to the Service Manager.
Responsibilities
Advocacy
- Build an understanding of client organizations by asking the right questions to identify their needs, both current and future, and drive solutions to exceed their expectations.
- Advocate for the client, supporting their best interests with the Rocket IT team by assessing priorities, helping drive resolution, and seeking out opportunities for service improvement.
Communication
- Facilitate excellent communication, both written and verbal, to clients as well as address any client concerns.
- Coordinate, prepare for and attend regular client Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Effectively communicate features and benefits of Rocket IT products and solutions throughout the lifecycle of the account.
Sales
- Develop proposals and quotes that ensure future success for the client and respond in a timely manner to product-related inquiries.
- Inform and train clients on technology stack products, their use, and how they can contribute to their business needs and growth.
- Maintain in-depth product knowledge of the service and product offerings of Rocket IT.
- Perform regular audits of client infrastructure to determine their compliance with Ideal IT Architecture standards and make recommendations to move them toward compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-2 years technical account management experience preferred.
- Proven proficiency with MS Office.
- Detail and accuracy oriented.
