Conformal Coating Assembler
Position Summary
The Conformal Coating Assembler is responsible for applying conformal coatings and masking materials to sub-assemblies and assembled printed circuit boards using manual processes. This role supports both New Product Introduction (NPI) and established production programs, ensuring high-quality workmanship while meeting cycle time, quality, and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Apply conformal coatings to assembled circuit boards using approved manual methods and materials.

Apply, inspect, and remove masking materials in accordance with work instructions and process requirements.

Perform in-process inspections to verify coating coverage, workmanship, and compliance with specifications.

Conduct coating rework and touch-up as required to meet quality standards.

Accurately read and follow electronic work instructions, process documentation, and assembly drawings.

Complete assigned tasks within established labor standards and production schedules.

Maintain required training, certifications, and process qualifications.

Follow ESD, safety, and cleanliness requirements at all times.

Perform other duties as assigned in support of production and business objectives.
Education & Experience

High School Diploma or GED required.

Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 electronics acceptability standards preferred.
Skills & Qualifications

Ability to safely and proficiently use microscopes or magnification tools in conjunction with small hand tools.

Strong understanding of ESD requirements in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and process documentation.

High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Comfortable working in a controlled manufacturing environment involving solvents and coating materials.

Basic computer proficiency for labor tracking and reviewing electronic work instructions.

Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
