TA Travel Center -2nd shift Cashier (4p-midnight)

Job Summary
Come join our team at the TA Travel Center in Dale, IN. We are looking for an 2nd shift cashier. This would be 4p-midnight, mainly weekdays with occasional weekend evenings mixed in. Approximate hours per week are 24-32.

Duties

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness throughout the store, including aisles, restrooms, showers, and entryways.
• Assist customers with inquiries and provide excellent customer service to enhance their shopping experience.
• Stock shelves and ensure that products are displayed attractively and are readily available for customers.
• Utilize POS systems to assist with sales transactions as needed.
• Conduct product demonstrations to engage customers and promote new items.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations and address any issues that arise.
• Supervise the work of other staff members during busy periods to maintain efficiency.
• Upsell products by highlighting promotions and special offers to customers.
• Perform basic math calculations for inventory management and stock assessments.

Experience

• Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus, along with basic math skills for handling transactions and stock management.
