Reports to: Lathe Supervisor

Hours: 2nd Shift 2pm-10pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for preparing materials for processing/production and fabrication of parts. Responsible for scheduling workload, projects, machine maintenance, and machine operation.
Essential duties include but not limited to:
· Operation of lathe for the fabrication of parts
· Verification of dimensions to specification
· Perform basic routine maintenance, programming, operation, and troubleshooting
· Prioritize work according to job
· Maintain accurate count of parts for end of shift report
· Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
· Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
· Previous experience with machine set-up, programming, and operation
· Ability to effectively communicate and understand job instructions, both verbally and written. Ability to effectively interpret and translate instructions to other employees in a professional and respectful manner.
· Able to perform basic mathematical computations and to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
· Critical thinking skills to reason and identify solutions
· Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
· Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
· Associate degree or two-year technical certificate preferred
· 5 years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
· Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
· Able to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands. Visual abilities include close vision, distance, vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
· Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
