Scope of Position:
Corrections Officers maintain discipline and order of incarcerated inmates in treatment housing areas and worker training sites within the county correctional facility.

- Responsible for the care, custody and control of inmate population.
- Provides a safe environment by enforcing policy and procedures.
- Acts as ex officio constable as appointed, with general police powers, including arrest, within the Jail, or during transports.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalency to qualify for NH Association of Counties “Corrections Officer Academy” Certification.
- Must be able to pass physical requirements of Group II Retirement Certification.
- Must possess a current and valid driver's license.
- Good writing skills with the ability to articulate well.
- Good interaction skills.
- Must pass polygraph test.
Shift Differential:
$1.75 p/hr 2nd shift
$2.00 p/hr 3rd shift
$1.50 p/hr Weekend Premium: weekends are defined as 7:00 am Saturday through 7:00 am Monday.
$25.00 per week Hazardous Duty pay$1.75 p/hr 2nd shift
$2.00 p/hr 3rd shift
