What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Aide/Food Service Worker position at Rockland Community Cuisine?
Rockland Community Cuisine are looking for a qualified Dietary Aide to prepare and serve food to residents in our clients dining-room. Our Dietary Aides bridge the kitchen and our guests, our aides are always organized, calm, and friendly, going above and beyond to make sure the residents have the best experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Set up tables or other dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order
• Serving food in dining-room setting to residents on buffet line in a timely and courteous manner
• Communicating regularly with and responding promptly and courteously to all resident requests
• Take down dining areas and collect plates, glasses etc. Discard leftovers and take out garbage
• Preparing and delivering dishes and trays at designated times and rooms
• Clean food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels and silverware
• Some food preparation under the supervision of a dietary manager or cook
• Performing opening and closing duties
• Maintaining a professional, composed, and calm demeanor always
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Proven experience in dietary aide/food service position
• Ability to carry at least 30 lbs.
• Strong communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to reach, bend, squat and lift while on the shift
• 12 months of full-service restaurant experience preferred
• High School Diploma/ GED certification in food service is a plus
• Able to multitask and organize
