What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property Manager position at Rockland Housing Action Coalition?
The Rockland Housing Action Coalition is seeking an experienced property manager to oversee multiple rent subsidized properties and cooperative buildings in Rockland County. Some of the job responsibilities include:
- Oversee property managers and maintenance staff at various buildings.
- Collect rents and maintain accurate and timely records.
- Send/post all notices regarding compliance to rules and regulations when a violation occurs.
- Maintain tenant files and related documentation regarding continuing eligibility
- Follow-up on delinquent accounts and pursue collections in accordance with established procedures.
- Address resident concerns in a professional manner.
- Oversee maintenance staff.
- Complete Required Operating Reports
The ideal candidate will also possess the following:
- Section 8/ or Tax Credit Experience; or affordable housing experience is highly preferred.
- Required Residential Property Management experience.
- Ability to self-manage and prioritize.
- Exceptional tenant relations skills
- Working knowledge of Fair Housing Laws
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Skilled in analyzing situations in order to identify problems and offer solutions.
