What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior IT Risk Analyst position at Rockland Trust?
The Senior IT Risk Analyst will also be expected to identify, based on experience, opportunities to automate the risk assessment process across the Bank as it implements other compliance automation tools. The Senior IT Risk Analyst may work on other regulatory and process risk assessment programs as well.
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in the development and enhancement of Bank-wide technology risk assessment programs by way of understanding regulations, rules, and requirements to which the Bank is subject
- Assess risk and control design, and execute control operating effectiveness testing to determine overall effectiveness
- Lead interviews/ walkthroughs with key stakeholders to establish understanding of controls that exist within the identified process to ensure that relevant controls are accurately documented
- Lead device assessments by gathering specific information across various infrastructure components (networks, storage, voice, etc.) to allow for risk assessment, design assessment, and control operating effectiveness testing
- Frequent close collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders, both IT and non-IT, to execute assigned duties
- Partner with key stakeholders to identify and assess proposed plans to remediate issues and/ or deficiencies identified during the process
- In collaboration with the rest of the team, inform key stakeholders of assessment results based on the procedures performed, and the impact those results have on the Bank
- Supervise IT Risk Analysts, and conduct primary reviews of their work
- Participate in the continuous improvement efforts of the IT Risk Management Team to enhance the risk assessment process and add value to the overall program
- Demonstrate a proactive mindset for security education, awareness, and the IT environment
- Assume other responsibilities, as needed, to fulfill the requirements of the IT Risk Team as they relate to priority items at the Bank
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Assurance, or similar
- Financial services industry experience, or previous history of successfully navigating a highly regulated and matrixed environment
- 4-6 years of internal or external technology audit or risk assessment experience, including design assessment and control operating effectiveness testing
- Ability to articulate and defend the process used in executing risk assessments
- Effective ability to lead a team through work that, at times, can be ambiguous to successfully meet deadlines and fulfill prescribed responsibilities while maintaining morale and promoting a positive and collaborative working environment
- Detail oriented with the ability to examine and evaluate processes, controls, and issues to contribute to the successful and appropriate assessment of risk
- Work independently and collaborate effectively within a broader team and organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively participate in, and lead, discussions and meetings
- Effective project and time management skills
- Knowledge of risk frameworks such as NIST, COBIT, or ISO preferred
- CRISC, CISSP, CISA or CISM or other industry-recognized risk and information assurance certifications preferred
