Rocky Hill Country Day School is seeking a Maintenance and Operations Technician whose primary objective is the support, improvement and upkeep of the physical campus and its efficient operation to deliver the best academic environment possible.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under direction, performs operating and maintenance tasks for school campus
- The position requires daily activities of walking, standing and/or carrying items
- Must be responsive, courteous and efficient in handling all requests.
- Perform various non-technical functions such as maintaining exterior, cleaning, ground equipment repair and preventative maintenance, caulking, painting and lock repair
- Responsible for repair and maintenance of all interior/exterior and common areas of school campus
Requirements:
- Experience in Painting
- Ability to apply sound judgment in carrying out instructions, which come in either written, oral, or diagram form
- Must be able to safely use basic hand tools
- Must be able to safely use ladders to perform repairs and hang items such as signs and banners
- Must be able to work with miscellaneous cleaning chemicals and paint
- Must be available to assist with snow removal.
- Must be reliable, trustworthy, hardworking, and motivated
The ideal candidate will possess the following Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Skilled trade experience in 1 or more of the following fields: Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, HVAC, Mechanics
- Laborer and Cleaning Experience
