Mitigation Technician Job Description

A successful applicant should be hardworking, reliable, and have good communication and organizational skills. You must have experience in carpentry or have equivalent experience in the field. We are willing to train and certify technicians.

Responsibilities:
- Work with MICA and other electronic devices
- Understand the type and amount of equipment to be set up to dry affected areas
- Conduct daily moisture readings and logs
- Produce photos and documentation pertaining to the loss
- Ability to assess water damage areas and remove affected materials as needed
- Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment.
- General knowledge of S-500, S520, and S540 Standards
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods, climb, pull, and lift heavy objects.
- Ability to work weekends and nights as needed to respond to restoration emergencies
- Prepare rooms/areas for work activities. Set up staging area and equipment for each project
- Perform end-of-day/end-of-job cleanup and breakdown. Leave each job-site with a clean
- Ensure clear two-way communication with other technicians and staff – especially
regarding customer needs and concerns
Requirements:
- High school diploma.
- Clean driving record
- Successfully pass a background check
- Preferred:
- IICRC – Water Restoration Technician
- IICRC – Anti-Microbial Technician
- Asbestos Certification (Technician or Supervisory)
- IICRC – Fire and Smoke
- Applied Structural Drying Technician communication skills
- Ability to lift at least 75lbs with good hand-eye coordination.
- Basic knowledge of mathematics.
