Responsibilities
- Keep records of inspections and maintenance records of all safety systems within RVU Utah.
- Assists in creating a schedule or timetable of regular evaluations of the facility, and regular maintenance.
- Makes recommendations for improvements and modifications associated with the custodial staff.
- Assists in scheduling the work of outside contractors and vendors, specifically, landscaping, plumbing, lighting, door closures, and security related issues, including inspection and completion.
- Monitor and maintain Lighting schedule while providing support and backup to the Sr. Facilities Technician and Facilities Technician, with the maintenance of the HVAC management system.
- Submit requests to the Manager of Facilities and Grounds for maintenance projects.
- Assists the Manager of Facilities and Grounds and all technicians in developing and maintaining a plan for 24-7 coverage relating to building usage, custodial, grounds, maintenance, safety and emergencies.
- Oversees the usage of facilities by RVU Utah personnel/groups and organizations within the university: set-ups, tear downs, and clean-up.
- Monitors and maintains the irrigation system and grounds.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Assist administration, faculty and staff in special projects as needed under the direction of the Manager.
- Continue education programs through plumbing and lighting vendors, keeping RVU Utah up to code standards related to plumbing and lighting.
