Position Duties Summary
- Ensure that current projects meet all renewable gas compliance requirements.
- Lead registration and onboarding of new renewable gas projects and assist with documentation for EPA and CARB fuel pathway certifications.
- Monitor regulatory permits (air permits, etc.), prepare annual fuel pathway documentation, and analyze operational and emissions data.
- Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing operational data—tracking inventory levels, monitoring calibration records, querying/filtering large datasets to support renewable energy initiatives.
- Promote adherence to safety and environmental standards across sites.
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in law, legal studies, business, environmental science, or related field (foreign equivalents accepted).
- Must have at least two (2) years of renewable energy compliance industry-specific experience, including:
- Reviewing data submissions to ensure compliance with standards from agencies like EPA, CARB, DNR or equivalent state agency.
- Supporting or preparing reports for Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) or Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) compliance.
- Tracking updates in local, state, or federal renewable energy regulations and assessing business impacts.
- Advising internal teams on new compliance requirements.
- Supporting the certification process for participation in clean energy incentive programs, such as RNG or biogas pathway approvals.
- Assisting with audits related to environmental compliance, especially if the organization claims sustainability or emissions benefits.
- Utilizing renewable energy specific ignition system to centralize, track, and manage key operational data.
- Managing regulatory data including renewable energy credit tracking, inventory and production tracking, environmental data collection, and regulatory reporting and document management.
