Description

1. File Importer Security Filing and verify ISF matches to the bill of lading at sailing.   

2. Monitors the ETA of rail, truck, sea, or airfreight cargo and notifies the customer of any changes.

3. Collect all import documents required prior to arrival

4. Determine selection of truck/rail lines and rate considerations.

5. Communicate/coordinate with customer/consignee arrival and delivery of cargo.

6. Monitor receipt of any required ocean bill of ladings and submission to the steamship line along with any payments due for freight release. 

7. Coordinate the US Customs entry/ release process and collect all import documents required to begin the entry.

8. Verify commercial documents received match shipment details including pcs, PO, container etc 

9. Submit and monitor Customs Clearance with US Customs and any other required government agencies. 

10. Coordinate exams or other government agency holds to ensure timely release. Ensure a May Proceed is obtained for each PGA. 

11. Prepare the entry packages that go to US Customs according to their specifications.

12. Monitor the release of goods and timely dispatch upon arrival.

13. Process loading orders (D.O.) either in R&B system or a port system.

14. Breakdown R&B invoices and email to customer with appropriate backup.

15. Ensure that cargo delivers to the final destination and follow up on any and all collection related issues. 

16. Monitor/maintenance R&B payables 

17. Keep an updated SOP for all accounts

18. Reply to any post summary requests by Customs

19. Upload documents to DIS as required. 



Requirements

  Primary Responsibilities: Position is within the import department that is a team environment. The position requires maintaining client relations and handling a large volume efficiently. 

  • HS Diploma/GED
  • Microsoft Experience - Required
  • Customer Service Skills - Required
  • Logistics Experience - Preferred
  • CargoWise Experience - Preferred
  • CCS - Certified Customs Specialist - Preferred
  • Billing/Accounting Knowledge - Preferred
