Rogers Group is currently seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join our team. This position is based at our corporate office in Nashville TN.
The successful candidate for this role will have a high level of attention to detail, confidentiality, and dependability.

This is an hourly position and will report to the Payroll Manger.
Job Responsibilities :
- Process in house, weekly payroll for 3000 multi-state employees.
- HRIS Employee Data Entry (new hire, rate changes,
- Entry of payroll information (Federal W4, State Withholding, Direct Deposit,
- Perform various payroll functions such as completing written Employment Verification forms, Child Support Enforcement forms, workers Comp wage forms, etc.
- Complete State Unemployment Benefit Audit forms.
- Cover for team members in back-up role for vacation and / or high-volume work times.
- Learn to research and resolve questions from managers and employees as they relate to the processing of payroll such as PTO, garnishments, banking, tax questions and other changes.
- Learn new or enhanced operation procedures and policies.
- Be willing to learn and / or take on any new responsibilities as assigned by manager.
- Perform other business duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Highly dependable individual with strong verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external parties.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
- Excellent problem solving / judgment skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Willing to adapt to changing environment including learning new systems, programs, etc.
Education and Experience :
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2-3 years Payroll experience required.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations.
