What are the responsibilities and job description for the Superintendent-Commercial Construction position at Rogers Mechanical Contractors?
Description:
The MEP Superintendent is responsible for maintaining an open, positive, and professional line of communication with customers, vendors, general contractors, internal customers, and field employees. Also supervises employees and maintains a safe working environment compliant with government regulatory guidelines and RMC Safety systems. This is a traveling position.
Requirements:Job Responsibilities (List is not inclusive)
- Ensure work site is compliant with OSHA regulations and RMC Safety protocols.
- Oversee and assure the installation of material, equipment, and manpower.
- Maintain consistent contact with General Contractors to be aware at all times of expected installation dates.
- Ensure quality control and quality assurance throughout the company.
- Request and coordinate material and equipment needs with on site leadership and Project Manager.
- Coordinate delivery of material and equipment to the job site.
- Keep project status up to date to ensure timely delivery.
- Attend and participate in GC meetings.
- Conduct weekly inspections, and safety meetings. Provide copies of signed safety forms to General Contractor and RMC Safety team.
- Walk job constantly to follow-up with installers.
- Identify problems that need to be corrected.
- Follow-up on all purchase orders and/or extra work.
- Maintain open and positive communication with field employees.
- Manage Sub-contractors, ensure work done meets contract and company requirements.
- Keep up to date with all RMC Policy and Procedures, industry standards and government regulations.
- Available via telephone after hours and on weekends for emergency and/or customer related issues.
- Directly reports to Field Operations Manager.
