The district is situated between the beautiful Letchworth and Stony Brook State parks. There are two campuses; the Dalton Campus has one elementary (grades Prek-4), and the Nunda Campus has one middle school (grades 5-8) and one high school (grades 9-12).
Position Overview:
Keshequa Central School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our instructional team. This individual will work closely with teachers, support staff, and students to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that meets diverse student needs.
Responsibilities:
Provide instructional support to students under the direction of a certified teacher
Assist with classroom management and organization
Support students individually and in small groups
Implement accommodations and modifications as outlined in IEPs/504 Plans
Supervise students during non-instructional times (e.g., lunch, recess, transitions)
Prepare instructional materials and resources as needed
Participate in professional development and training sessions
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Job Qualifications
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
- New York State Teaching Assistant Certification (Level I or higher), or eligibility to obtain certification
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree or higher in education or a related field
Experience working with school-aged children in an educational setting
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Work Environment
This position may involve working with students in general education, special education, or inclusion settings. Assignments may be in classrooms, resource rooms, or other learning environments.
