We are a growth-oriented litigation support firm looking to expand our team with dedicated dynamic people. As an integral part of the legal discovery process, we have been providing industry leading document management services to our law firm and insurance company partners for over 40 years.
Description
Overview:
This is a clerical position that requires handling a large volume of records requests for the company and its customers. Must process all third-party records request and ensure that records release in on hand from requesting entity for HIPAA compliance.
Responsibilities:
· Processes medical record requests received by interoffice mail, fax, US Mail, Email, and personal serve from copy services.
· Retrieves digital and paper patient files, organizes, and produces to requesting party on a timely basis.
· Carefully ensures that documents are correctly filed, positioned, and makes updates to records as necessary.
· Scans paper documents and verifies that scanned documents are clear and legible.
· Coordinates with outside storage vendors to assure safe retrieving and archiving of documents.
· Follows company policies, procedures, and directives.
· Interacts in a positive and constructive manner.
· Ensures compliance with various, State, County and other regulatory requirements.
· Provides clerical support as needed including responding to emails, sorting mail, and processing vendor statements and invoices.
· Maintains and organizes physical and electronic records by filing, copying, scanning and other related tasks.
· Updates company filing systems and devises new and efficient filing systems and digitizing hard copies of documents as needed.
Qualifications:
· Medical record experience helpful
· Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality laws
· Strong attention to detail
· Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
· Ability to maintain confidentiality of extremely sensitive and confidential patient information
· Proficient in computer programs, including Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office and Outlook
· Must excel in communication (written & verbal), customer service and can work independently or as part of a team.
· Must excel in prioritization, organization and multi-tasking while demonstrating attention to detail and follow though.
· Can problem solve to logical conclusion, demonstrate initiative and is responsible.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $2,946.00 per month
