The Senior Felid Technician evaluates subcontracted work, oversees scheduling and completion of repairs, assists with repair/project estimating, coaches technicians and meets with homeowners and subcontractors as needed.

About the position:
The Senior Felid Technician evaluates subcontracted work, oversees scheduling and completion of repairs, assists with repair/project estimating, coaches technicians and meets with homeowners and subcontractors as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs Quality Control (QC) checks (inspections) on recently finished jobs. Assess and document the quality of work being performed by the roofing subcontractors. Provides feedback to be used in the annual evaluation of subcontractors.
- Schedule and complete repairs and oversee the work of technicians.
- Occasionally, pickup and deliver materials to a homeowner's location or one of our vendor locations.
- Communicate with homeowners on a regular basis, especially when particular situations necessitate face-to-face communication between a homeowner and Roofsmith/the Production team.
- Occasionally visit potential job sites to take measurements and provide material lists as well as estimated labor hours for requested work to be completed.
- Assist other Roofsmith employees, including Project Managers, with questions regarding roofing, construction etc..
- Helps maintain and inspect work vehicles and equipment to ensure proper operation and safety protocol.
- Updates and maintains the repair section of “Work in Progress” spreadsheet.
- Responsible for Acculynx notation and communication.
- Regularly communicate with Production Manager and meet with subcontracted crews when necessary.
- Availability to coach and answer questions from other Sr./Jr. Techs.
- Other duties as assigned.

- 5 years of roofing/construction experience required.
- 2-3 years of experience in leading employees and subcontractors required.
- Must be able to ascend and descend ladders on a regular basis.
- Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
- Must be able to use mobile applications to update the company's CRM system.
- Must be able/willing to learn to use new technology to keep track of hours, job notes, QC inspection reports and various other pieces of information related to technician's job.
- Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents. Ability to interact effectively and present information in both written and oral form with management, customers, staff, etc.
- Mathematical Skills – Must have basic level mathematical skills, such as adding and subtracting
- Computer Skills – Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, PDF, Smart Phones
- Other Qualifications – Valid driver’s license is required; Must be able to travel 70-90% of the time
- Mentoring: Ability to coach other technicians in an effort to improve on-the-job skills and workmanship.
- Communication: Clear and effective communication to co-workers, customers and subcontractors.
- Technical Expertise: Ability to navigate demands of general construction, especially roofing, siding, gutters and insulation.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to maintain spreadsheets, calendars, timely communications, equipment/warehouse space while coaching others to do the same.
