Bakery Production Assistant

Root Nine Baking Co. is a woman-owned wholesale bakery known for its innovative, clean label, vegan baked goods. We pride ourselves on crafting the most delicious cookies, dessert bars and ice cream inclusions for both foodservice and retail. As a growing company, we’re looking for a passionate and motivated Bakery Production Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities

• Bakery Production: Assist in all aspects of baking, from mixing and baking to preparing and assembling finished products, maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen while adhering to food safety standards.
• Workload Management: Manage your own daily task list and ensure all baking production goals are met efficiently and on time.
• E-Commerce Fulfillment: Manage e-commerce orders, including baking, packaging and shipping.
• Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries, ensuring a positive experience.
• Flexibility & Open-mindedness: Be open to taking on new tasks, collaborating with the team and bringing ideas to the table.
• Administrative Tasks: Support the team with various projects, including compliance and regulatory.
• Deliveries: Make occasional local deliveries as needed (driver’s license required).

What We’re Looking For

• Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 7a-3p. Must be available to work occasional weekend events as needed.
• Baking Experience: A solid background in bakery production, 3 years experience working in a fast paced professional environment.
• Food Safety: Servsafe certification required.
• Self-Starter: Ability to manage your workload independently and prioritize tasks effectively in an entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong Communication Skills: Able to communicate effectively with the team and customers.
• Flexibility: Comfortable with the ever-changing demands of a growing business.
• Driver’s License: Required for occasional deliveries.
• Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
