WORK HOURS: Full time or Part time - work hours vary. May work any time during which the store is open.
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for bagging and carrying out customer’s groceries. Performing repetitive work. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to communicate pleasantly and efficiently with all customers, vendors, and fellow employees, under all circumstances.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
- At all times provide pleasant and efficient customer service.
- Must complete assigned duties on a daily basis.
- Maintain at all times the cleanliness and/or sanitation of the work area.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Bag groceries. Carry grocery bags or places in a cart and pushes cart to customer's vehicle upon request. Places grocery bags in customer's vehicle.
- Collect shopping carts from parking lot and surrounding areas and returns carts to the store.
- Stock checkout areas with cleaning solution and plastic/paper bags.
- Clean work area and empty trash bins located at the front door.
- Return grocery items left at checkout counter to specified stock shelf.
- Perform customer service, assist customers in locating items in the store.
- Clean up spills as needed. Clean minor spills in bathroom as needed. Sweep and mop as needed.
- Shovel snow in the entry way to the store. If over 18 years old, may use a snowblower.
Requirements
Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to lift, carry and push up to 50 pounds.
MACHINE, TOOLS, SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT USED:
Carts, broom, shovel, mop, cleaning supplies, step stool, bags, box knife. If over 18 years old, may use a snowblower and baler.
