POSITION SUMMARY
The Body Fabricator is responsible for the aluminum metal fabrication of multiple components of the fire apparatuss body. They will precisely measure all dimensions and ensures they are positioned correctly. They must be able to read and follow blueprints/specifications to complete objectives. A Body fabricator welds, sands, cuts, and bolts materials to build the body of the fire apparatus.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.
- Fabricates the aluminum body on the fire apparatus.
- Precisely measures all dimensions and ensures they are positioned correctly.
- Reads and follows blueprints and specifications to complete objectives.
- Welds, sands, cuts, and bolts materials to build the body of the fire apparatus.
- Checks the work of the blueprints and specifications to ensure that it will result in a workable product.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.
Tools to be utilized:
Hand tools, power tools, grinders, cut off wheels, saw, shear, welders, and tape measure.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience:
- High school diploma/GED.
- Previous welding experience required.
- Welding certificate preferred.
- 3 years of previous MIG and TIG welding experience with aluminum and stainless steel preferred.
- Strong mechanical and technical ability required.

- Able to read and work from blueprints/spec books.
- Able to read and understand a tape measure accurately.
- Able to follow written and verbal directions.
Math:
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Computer:
- Able to perform simple computer tasks to obtain information/changes related to the build process and/or troubleshoot.
