PT Nursing Instructor
CLINICAL COORDINATOR - NURSE - MONDAY-FRIDAY
The Clinical Coordinator is a full-time position reporting to the Nursing Program Administrator or designee and
is a member of the Nursing Program Leadership Team. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for maintaining
the components related to the clinical aspects of the curriculum so the students have the most optimum
learning environment. The Clinical Coordinator reports directly to the Program Administrator. At the campus
level the Clinical Coordinator reports to the Associate Administrator.
Responsibilities
- Knowledge of nursing skills; lab equipment, teaching and instruction methods and practices; record keeping procedures
- Coordinate and facilitate all facets of the clinical setting, including but not limited to:
- Provide training to faculty, staff, and students pertaining to clinicals
- Recordkeeping
- Scheduling
- Maintain health and safety precautions for faculty, staff, and students
- Gather student medical records and maintaining a system to ensure CPR, TB, and other health requirements are up-to-date
- Assesses educational needs of students
- Secure and set up new clinical sites and monitor those sites. Establish cooperative working relationships with persons contacted. Onboard students to clinical sites and maintain proper recordkeeping and documents as requested by the sites for the students
- Ensure all OBN regulations related to the clinical experience are adhered to by faculty, teaching assistants and preceptors
- Conducts site visits and assist in faculty evaluations
- Assists in obtaining and maintaining cooperating agency contracts
- Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

Education and/or Experience:
- Associates of Nursing with an active and unencumbered Registered Nurse License in the State of Ohio. BSN preferred
- Two years of experience as a professional nurse providing direct patient care.
- Reference and background check required for employment, including credit check
- Protection of student and/or employee privacy is expected in the handling of confidential and/or financial information.
- Protection of the corporation and privacy of corporate proprietary and confidential information is expected
All Campus administrative staff must have:
- Sufficient ability to stand for extended periods of time, move around the building and classroom to satisfy student needs and/or facilitate student participation
- Sufficient visual and auditory ability to operate computer equipment, use telephone, read materials, use white board and use classroom/office equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in classroom and individual settings
- Knowledge of materials (subjects) that will be taught to students and ability to use and communicate Ross curriculum
- Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced work environment
- Ability to use current technology to maintain student records, eg, Microsoft Office, CampusVue
- Ability to achieve or maintain credential and/or licensure within expected time frames
- Demonstrates professionalism in manner, dress and conduct as a representative of Ross and a student mentor
- Ability to remain objective and treat all students equally
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Adhere to Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics
- Lead faculty need to have ability to travel locally to visit externship sites or other meetings
- Prior teaching or formal tutoring experience using a developed curriculum, preferred
- Perform related work as required
