Role Description
The Civil Engineering Intern – Water Resources / Utilities is an on-site internship located in Davie, FL. The intern will work closely with staff engineers to assist with a variety of tasks on active water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include supporting water resources and utilities design by assisting with drainage analysis, utility layouts, grading concepts, quantity takeoffs, and preparing civil, drainage, and utility design sheets using CADD-based tools under engineer supervision. Opportunities to participate in site visits and field observations will be provided to gain exposure to existing conditions, construction activities, and applicable engineering standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
- Good academic standing.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
