Factory Manager

Primary responsibility of this position is to drive and lead the factory management with focus on sustainable profitability, competitiveness and delivery performance aligned with the Aerospace goals and strategies. This position is located in Muskegon, MI and is part of a global network of manufacturing facilities in the Aerospace business. The Muskegon facility has approximately 120 employees including a 3 -shift Union workforce.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver zero defect and high service level to Customers.

Develop and follow up daily, monthly and quarterly performance to ensure the achievement of the targets with focus on cost improvement and waste elimination;

Continue improvements in Production System, design flexible and efficient production process with high focus on Sustainability and NetZero.

Further develop process improvement activities and digitalization roadmap.

Ensure high teamwork with Sales, Business and Product Development to sustain profitable growth.

Ensure that all requirements concerning Health & Safety, environmental and legal regulations are followed;

Follow, support, and implement the local and Corporate policies.

Be a role model of a Purpose-driven culture with foundation on Values, promoting Diversity Equity and Inclusion.

Motivate and develop leadership skills in all team members, create a learning culture thereby improving the competency level,

Create and support customer focus, team spirit, constructive work environment and ownership in the factory.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field.

Proven track record and at least 7years of leading a unionized manufacturing facility.Outstanding leadership capabilities to develop self, others and business. Ability to develop inspire empower and motivate team, ability in navigating complex scenarios and business

Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, proven experience in deploying successfully Lean Manufacturing Methods / Company Production system or Lean manufacturing techniques

Commitment to maintain a safe working environment in line with company requirements concerning Health & Safety, environmental and legal regulations.

Business and financial acumen and customer focus

Good analytical, problem solving and communication skills
