GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Process Improvement (PI) Analyst is a member of the broader Allocation Operations (AO) Team. On the AO Team our mission is to develop and support people, reports, and systems that improve the overall effectiveness of our department. Our team contributes to this objective by developing and enhancing processes, tools, and reports for the Allocation Dept. These solutions are primarily developed within the MS Office Excel and Access applications. This team works directly with a variety of teams and levels in the department and are the Allocation technical design experts, regularly influencing how we design solutions that drive high-value business outcomes. On PI we are comfortable designing and estimating the time for development work, sharing our vision with our business partners, and collaborating on the best solution. In addition, we often work with the System Admin team to support the implementation of new processes and provide technical support for day-to-day operations. We know that anything is possible with the right blend of skills and creativity and we pride ourselves in creating efficient and intuitive technical solutions.

Analysts work on projects and tasks where analysis of situations or data requires a review of diverse factors. Analysts must exercise judgment to determine appropriate action(s) to resolve a variety of issues and builds productive internal/external working relationships. In this role Analysts are developing their professional knowledge and expertise.

The base salary range for this role is $64,500 - $91,850. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Process Improvement

• Independently create technical design and code for new processes, tools, and reports using advanced Excel functions, Excel VBA, and Oracle SQL

• Independently create technical Design and code for back end databases utilizing data management applications (e.g. MS Access, SQL Server)

• Transition new tools, reports, processes to the Systems Administration team for ongoing execution and maintenance

Documentation

• Generate flow charts for Technical Design of new processes, tools, and reports in MS Visio

• Partner with Project Management team to prepare for User Acceptance Testing: reviewing scenarios, and environment setup.

Communication

• Analyze Functional Requirements/Designs and provide scope estimates to assist in project planning and prioritization

• Track progress of design and build keeping project team informed throughout

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's Degree, preferred

• 1-2 years equivalent work experience

• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

• Efficient verbal and written communication skills

• Retail math

• Retail software experience, a plus (JDA or Other Allocation Software)

• Ability to independently analyze data sets to solve problem and summarize recommendations

• Experience in assessing processes, designing processes, implementing changes to existing processes, implementing new processes, designing user interfaces, and automating manual processes preferred

• Experience documenting technical/functional designs in MS Visio preferred.

• Experience in Data Management application (e.g. MS Acces, SQL Server) required

• Experience using SQL for data retrieval required

• Retail experience preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. This position requires the ability to use a computer, work as part of a team, and the ability to communicate with team members and others. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work. #LI-Hybrid
