Regular **Company:** Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center **Department:** Patient Access **Time Type:** Full time **Weekly Hours:** 37.5 FTE: 0.9375 **Shift:** First Shift (United States of America) **Summary:** Assumes responsibility for the effective entry of patients into Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center; coordinates and makes arrangements for all access-related activities including data gathering, triage, communication with referring physicians, scheduling visits and pre-visit diagnostic tests, communicating with disease-site teams and provides insurance and financial clearance for new and return visits.

Salary range for this position is $41,399 - $50,884 which includes a comprehensive benefits package. **Qualifications:** Required Education and Experience

• High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in patient registration, patient scheduling, or insurance verification; or
• High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and successful completion of a Patient Access Representative traineeship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell Park).

Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications

The preferred candidate will have the following skills/experiences:

• Previous Experience in Patient Access role
• Insurance verification or basic financial clearance experience
• Previous experience handling patient quieries, concerns, and/or complaints
• Background in demonstrating or practicing knowledge in medical terminology
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other data entry systems
• Experience in answering phone calls related to address patient inquiries and/or scheduling appointments
• Previous experience in working in a neurology and/or dermatology clinic or treatment center
• Previous experience working a cancer treatment center
