Rothman Orthopaedics is looking to hire a full time Hand Therapist based in our Center City Philadelphia office! This position will require travel to our office in Northeast Philadelphia as well.
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8 AM to 4:30 PM (8 hours per day, 40 hours per week)
Job Summary: The Hand Therapist performs the duties of an OT or PT with a specific emphasis on hand and upper extremity injuries of the adolescent, adult and geriatric orthopedic population.
Essential Duties:
- Provides hand therapy services to patients in a fast-paced hand and orthopaedic clinic, including the fabrication of static and dynamic splints and orthotics.
- Provides evaluations, treatments, and goal setting of patients.
- Custom fabrication of static and dynamic splints/orthoses.
- Evaluates patients' progress and adjusts programs to achieve maximum benefits.
- Consults directly with hand surgeons and other rehabilitation team members.
- Supervises aides and students in direct patient care and related activities.
- Participates in staff in-services, monthly rounds and research.
- Adheres to regulatory documentation and billing requirements.
- Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree and successful completion of an accredited PT or OT school required
- Valid state licensure and CPR certification required
- Nationally Certified CHT preferred; OT/PT with hand experience actively working toward CHT will be considered
- Five years experience required
- Computer skills including, but not limited to, MS Office required
