Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup is a locally owned company and we are building our team! We are excited to welcome a Customer Service Representative to help assist our customers and provide 5 star service from our office.
A customer service representative will be the first person our customers encounter in our office and over the phone. The CSR will provide product/services information and schedule appointments with customers via phone. The CSR should be confident in handling all types of customers and conflicts. We are looking for someone genuinely excited to help customers, patient, empathetic, and communicative. We have a well established team in the office as well as in the job field and look forward to adding another team player!

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Answer multiple incoming phone lines
- Convert incoming calls into booked appointments
- Properly maintain and update customer database with complete and accurate information
- Build positive relationships and trust with customers while being an advocate for the company
- Promptly respond to customer requests and resolve issues
- Communicate efficiently with management and co-workers
- Manage email accounts and respond in a timely manner
- Assists with filing paperwork, scan/print documents, and other office tasks as needed
Requirements & Skills:
- Minimum 4 years customer service experience (Knowledge/Experience in the plumbing industry is a plus but not required)
- Must be able to report to work as assigned with minimal absences; Reliable transportation
- Strong phone contact handling skills, active listening, and problem resolution
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Understanding of a scheduling system using time blocks to ensure appointments are accurately booked
- Knowledge in operating basic office equipment such as printer, scanner, telephones, computer, etc.
- Must be able to type at an efficient speed to effectively input information
- Ability to work unsupervised and be self motivated to remain productive for the entirety of scheduled shift
- Physically able to sit for extended periods of time and also perform basic cleaning in office (vacuum, dust, take trash out)
- Previous knowledge of office tasks such as emailing, transferring phone lines, filing paperwork, etc.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
