Activity Director

*Job Summary* We are seeking an experienced Activities Director to join our team. The Activities Director will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging programs and activities for residents in a long-term care facility. *Duties* - Develop and coordinate recreational programs tailored to the residents' needs and interests - Organize events, outings, and activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being - Collaborate with staff to integrate activities that support residents' daily living skills (ADLs) - Provide counseling on aging issues, dementia care, and memory care - Manage schedules effectively to ensure timely execution of activities - Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to enhance community engagement - Oversee the implementation of recreational therapy programs - Ensure compliance with regulations related to activities in a nursing home setting *Qualifications* - Previous experience in a similar role within long-term care or memory care settings - Proficiency in developing and executing recreational programs - Knowledge of aging issues counseling and dementia care practices - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules efficiently - Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff - Familiarity with home community care practices is a plus If you are passionate about enhancing the quality of life for seniors through engaging activities and have the required qualifications, we invite you to apply for this rewarding position as an Activities Director.
