Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance or Yoga Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background working with students of various ages and abilities. This role involves teaching Zumba and Yoga techniques, fostering a love for movement, and creating an inclusive environment that encourages creativity and self-expression. The Dance Instructor will play a crucial role in the personal and artistic development of our students.
Responsibilities
- Teach various dance styles, ensuring proper technique, safety, and enjoyment.
- Foster a positive learning environment that promotes creativity, teamwork, and respect among students.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, employing strategies for behavior management as needed.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress and any concerns.
Qualifications
- Experience working with students in an educational or recreational setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles or childhood development is beneficial.
- Experience in sports coaching or theater can enhance the ability to engage students effectively.
- Strong classroom management skills to create a structured learning environment.
- A passion for dance and the ability to inspire others through movement.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
Class Information
- We have an opening for an after school Zumba/Yoga class for K-1 grade students. The class is 30 minutes long, after school every Wednesday.
