Position Overview :
Royal Community Support is seeking a compassionate, self-motivated, and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist an individual in Brick, New Jersey.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable with community-based support, small outings, and activities that promote independence and integration within the community.
This is a part-time role with flexibility in scheduling (6AM-8AM Mon-Fri, 5 hours on Saturday). If you are looking for a meaningful job where you can make a difference and advance in your career, this could be the opportunity you’ve been seeking.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide one-on-one support to an individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Assist with daily activities and personal goals, promoting independence and community engagement.
- Support participation in small outings and community-based activities.
- Create and maintain a positive, person-centered approach to care.
- Ensure safety and well-being of the individual at all times.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a good driving record.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to work legally in the United States.
- Comfortable with community-based support and engaging in local outings.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Person-centered mindset with a positive attitude and open-mindedness.
