Direct Support Professionals (DSP) cares for individuals experiencing developmental or intellectual disabilities. Their main duties include helping Individuals complete basic housekeeping tasks, transporting individuals to appointments or other social outings and keeping individuals safe from potential health hazards in their surrounding environment, following behavior plans, teaching self-care skills, cooking meals and doing laundry.
Additional duties may include:
Assisting clients with daily personal tasks, including bathing and dressing
Completing housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, washing dishes and tidying
Helping plan client appointments and organizing a schedule
Organizing transportation arrangements to appointments
Shopping for groceries and preparing meals that meet specific client dietary needs
Encouraging client engagement in social networks and communities
Royal Community Support is looking for a self-motivated, energetic Direct Support Professional to support a Female individual who lives in South Orange, Essex County, NJ. DSP must be comfortable with community base support.
Suzanne is seeking a DSP that can assist with ADL's,taking her to temple, toileting, light cleaning, laundry, and cooking,. She likes to prepare her own meals, but needs guidance while prepering them. A DSP that has flexible schudule, that is looking for additinal hours (Per diem).
SCHEDULE:
One week a month
Starting Sunday 6:00 pm
Ending Friday 9:00 am
8 hour shift
40 hours a month

Qualifications:

Must be 18 years old or older
Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent
Must have a car
Must have valid driver's license and good driving record
Must be willing to have a background check

Must be authorized to legally work in the United States
Starting Pay Rate:
$22 per hour
