What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handling Manager position at Royer Corp?
- Organize all raw materials as they come in by creating a designated location for all items.
- This is includes, but is not limited to: Resin, Colorant, Foil, Glitter, Pigment, Arbors, Media, Paint
- Continually maintain accurate counts of inventory while keeping all items in designated locations.
- Monthly counts will need to be submitted that initially fall within a /-10% accuracy.
- Implementing processes to improve the accuracy will be required.
- Work with the procurement/supply chain team to provide forecasts to suppliers on what raw materials
- Verifying the required space is available along with receiving the material will be a requirement.
- This will initially involve weekly counts and daily communication for the major moving supplies
- Keep labor rates for all material handlers (across all shifts) below budget through scheduling and help
- Continuously look for process improvements that will drive labor rates down for the
- Work with production/scheduler to prepare jobs for off-shifts by laying out required materials with
- Be a key member in helping implement the ISO9001 requirements.
