Payroll Tax Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing payroll, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring accuracy in all payroll-related activities.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for employees accurately and timely
• Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
• Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve any payroll discrepancies
• Assist in financial report interpretation related to payroll activities

Requirements

• Proficiency in accounting principles and practices
• Knowledge of financial concepts and double-entry bookkeeping
• Experience in account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation
• Familiarity with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance
• Ability to work with accounting software such as QuickBooks and Quicken
• Understanding of securities law related to payroll activities
