Description

Roswell Park Care Network is looking to hire a Prior Authorization Representative for our dynamic team. In this role you will be responsible to provide accurate and complete data input for pre-certification requests, oral medications and procedures.

Brief Description of Duties:

  • Obtain insurance verification, authorizations and pre-certifications.
  • Schedule diagnostic imaging, injections and surgical procedures.
  • Answer calls from physician offices and patients.
  • Accurately enter required information into computer systems.
  • Reviews structured data matched it against specified medical terms and diagnoses or procedure codes and follow established procedures for authorizing request or referring request for further review
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of CPT, ICD9 and ICD10
  • 1 year of experience in Prior Authorization in any medical specialty- Oncology is a plus
  • Prior experience with Windows and MS Office software required

It is also important to have critical thinking and problem solving skills as well as being a team player and being professional at all times.





  * Starting pay for a successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include experience, relevant skills, training, education, location, business needs, or market demands.
