What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian position at RPO International?
New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is seeking a Custodian for a 2-month contract position with the potential for a contract extension or conversion.
The main function of a Custodian is to perform cleaning services and maintain the overall condition of the building/space.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning services per scope and follow SOPs where applicable.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy facility by completing various tasks such as mopping and vacuuming floors, high and low dusting, deep cleaning and disinfecting of multiple surfaces and restrooms, and appropriate disposal of waste receptacles daily- including recyclables.
- Responsible for completing deep cleans, office restoration, and special projects requested by supervisor and building managerial teams.
- Responsible for verifying that the proper chemicals are used for each designated area assigned.
- Responsible for organization and upkeep of janitor closets, supply storage, and cleaning equipment.
- Notifying supervisor of occurring deficiencies, safety concerns, and need for repairs
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1 years of custodian/janitorial experience
- Knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines
- Ability to continuously stand and walk throughout workday
- Ability to read, write, and understand documentation in English.
- Hours in Summer is M-F 6am to 2:30pm but slightly change in fall.
Only candidates available and ready to work directly as New Journey/Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
Sched: M-F, 6am - 2:30pm (hours may slightly change in the fall)
