Position Summary 

The Product Specialist is responsible for assisting with planning, researching, and marketing new and existing products while helping to maximize return-on-investment, sales objectives, market share, and product revenue. This is a full-time, permanent, paid, entry-level role, reporting to the Product Manager. Work will be performed remotely or on site in our Vancouver, Washington headquarters. 


Key Responsibilities

· Assists to support product development from requirement setting through manufacturing and onto commercialization, including the generation of new product business cases that document features (required and desired), reimbursement strategies, market analysis, and launch plans.

· Helps to write/review concise and accurate technical documentation, including coordinating the collection of and consolidation of information from others. This includes documents such as marketing requirements, functional specifications, risk assessments, validation plans, validations, traceability matrixes, and clinical plans.

· Develop necessary technical knowledge of products and understanding of customers and markets to identify and evaluate new products and product enhancement opportunities.

· Implement compliance requirements for products and applies those standards in all phases of product development, required documentation, and product function

· Collaborates to envision, write, edit, and maintain accurate and useful product labels, manuals, packaging, and sales enablement content.

· Works in collaboration to help lead multi-disciplinary project teams, including assembling members, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules and budgets to ensure completion of assigned projects in line with expectations. 

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

· Attends frequent team meetings and one-on-one’s to discuss ideas, tasks, questions, progress, workload, deadlines, and obstacles

· Successfully reports and delivers on agreed upon milestones, activities, and due dates with the use of gantt charts, work breakdown structures, and task lists. 

Requirements

Experience / Qualifications 

· Bachelor’s or advanced degree in engineering. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

· Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

· High degree of problem solving and analytical skills.

· Desire to assist in leading multi-functional teams to accomplish specified goals and objectives; to build consensus, coordinate with and assemble inputs from diverse, cross-functional teams.

· Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a changing environment.

· Pursuing or interested in career in Product Management, Engineering, or a related field

· Strong oral and written communication skills 

· Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel.

· High degree of integrity and discretion.


Physical Requirements

Work is performed in a combination of warehouse and general office environment that will include frequent or continuous periods of talking, sitting, fingering, repetitive motions of the hands/wrists, reaching, grasping, and handling. This position also requires occasional bending, squatting, standing, and walking. Pushing, pulling lifting, and carrying of up to 20 lbs. is required on an occasional basis. Good general vision and hearing are needed.

Salary : $60,000 - $65,000
