Job Title: Analytical Project Manager
RSI EnTech, LLC (RSI) is currently recruiting for an Analytical Project Manager for our client in Oak Ridge, TN. The Analytical Project Manager (APM) is responsible for providing technical support to a wide variety of projects including water quality monitoring, landfill operations, decommissioning and demolition (D&D), waste disposition, and remedial actions.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The position requires familiarity with regulatory drivers and data quality criteria for Superfund sites and CERCLA cleanup actions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide technical support for multiple projects
- Address general chemistry and analytical questions
- Support the Data Quality Objective (DQO) process
- Sampling and Analysis Plan (SAP) development
- Data Management Implementation Plan (DMIP) development
- Coordinate analytical support with laboratories
- Provide status reports, as needed throughout entire process
- Validate analytical data in accordance with nationally recognized programs
- Communicate effectively with project and laboratory personnel who possess varying technical backgrounds.
- Liaison between the project and the contract analytical laboratory
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Broad knowledge of analytical techniques employed in characterization of multiple media types, knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements affecting analytical data, and an aptitude for using numerous software applications (databases, spreadsheets, word processing).
- Programming is not required; however, a basic understanding of database queries is beneficial.
- A broad knowledge of analytical test methods is critical. The successful candidate will have a strong background in common inorganic, organic, and wet chemistry analytical methods.
- A working knowledge of radiochemical analytical techniques is desirable.
- Data validation experience is required in at least one of the four major areas of analytical testing.
Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in a natural science, or equivalent job experience. An advanced degree is a plus.
Experience: Five years of experience in an analytical chemistry related position, including data validation. Managerial experience is a plus.
