Coach - Middle School Girls LacrosseAs the Middle School Girls Lacrosse Coach, you will deliver measurable results in developing, enhancing and promoting an athletic program that will be distinguished by the teams display of integrity, citizenship, character, work ethic, and their ability to overcome adversity. To instruct students in appropriate methods to be respectful of themselves, their opponents, and officials regardless of the outcome of their event. Qualifications: Love what you do, bringing your experience as a lacrosse player or as a coach to the students at RSU 21. Must have knowledge and expertise in the strategies, methods and techniques for a successful sport offering.

Should have the ability to manage all aspects of a sport program and earned or will earn credentials of Maine Coaches; employment in the Kennebunk School Department preferred. Reports To: MSK Director of Athletics Responsibilities: Student CenteredSupervises the student athletes in his/her programThrough proper preparation and planning, students are appropriately ready for competitionSupervises/manages off season programs to help players enhance their abilitiesServes as a role model for studentsLeadershipAssists in the assessment and hiring of members of his/her coaching staffWorks to enhance and display the philosophy and objectives of the departmentWorks with the trainer, athletic director to ensure proper medical assistance is available and plans are in order for emergency situationsAdministers the District athletic codesMaintains orderly records of equipment/uniform issued and works with the equipment manager to successfully collect all issued materialsPrepares reports for the athletic director as requestedSupervises assistant coaches including decisions regarding player performance and membership in the programPerforms such other duties, consistent with this position, as determined by the principal/athletic directorCompetencies: Servant-leader model: you coach and grow staff through strategic delegation to increase department knowledge, engagement and autonomyVisionary: you keep your eye firmly on the future; you maintain a big picture, high-altitude view to ensure youre assessing short-term realities to inform long-term needs; you look and plan ahead with imagination and wisdom; your vision dictates the direction a team or district will takeAttention to detail: youre obsessed with accuracy and embrace the importance of getting it right; you triple-check documentation to ensure you can stand by your work; your discipline enables you to work error-free despite repetitive nature of tasks Big picture thinking: you maintain a big picture perspective and connect it to whats happening in the field; you synthesize competing factors, opportunities and needs to identify a strategic path forwardProactive problem-solving: you take a creative approach to problem solving; when an initiative is stalled, you get us back on track to regain momentum Role model: your performance inspires others; you embody the desired work ethic and/or approach that is required to achieve our district mission; others learn from the high standards you hold for yourself Reasonable Accommodations: RSU 21 will provide accommodations to an individual with a disability, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or applicable law, who has made the district aware of their disability, unless doing so would cause an undue hardship to the district. Salary : $41,900 - $53,100
