RTI's Office of Finance is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contract Billing Specialist to perform daily contract billing operations including administrative, analytical, and professional accounting tasks to bill clients in accordance with contract terms.

Responsibilities
- Examine contract documents to identify and interpret billing and closeout requirements.
- Conduct invoice preparations within stringent time requirements.
- Setup invoice parameters in various systems to properly bill clients.
- Submit invoices into client 3rd party platforms.
- Assist team members with administrative tasks such as journal entries.
- Interact with Contracts, Finance, and Technical Staff and/or external clients to obtain information as required.
- Work primarily on Fixed Price, Cost Reimbursement and T&M contract types.
- Prepare and submit quarterly and annual FFRs timely
- May participate on teams involved in system implementation, system improvements, and problem solving.
- Contribute to Belonging and Inclusion team culture.
- Focus on continuous improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
High school diploma and a minimum of 5 years of experience; or equivalent combination of experience and education. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Minimum 6 months government contractor billing experience (strongly preferred).
- Minimum 6 months proven experience working with Costpoint, OnBase, Cognos and Salesforce (required).
- Completion of DOJ Online Grants Financial Management training (required).
- Experience submitting invoices and FFRs into the following third party portals : IPP, PMS, Grants Online, and Coupa.
Skills & Abilities:
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and unexpected requests to deliver high-quality deliverables within established deadlines.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to listen and communicate well both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong work ethic and sense of ownership of work.
- Quick learner with ability to effectively share knowledge with others.
